Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what is needed to run a screenshot service and nothing else. There are no adverts, no analytics and no tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your data.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a one-way hash of your password (Argon2id). We never store or see the password itself.
• Your screenshots, and for each one its size, dimensions, upload time and visibility setting.
• Technical data: your IP address is used in memory for rate limiting and appears in short-lived server logs. It is stored with a contact-form message so abuse of the form can be handled.
• Messages you send through the contact form, including your email address if you choose to give one.

Cookies

Two cookies, both strictly necessary: one keeps you logged in, the other protects forms against cross-site request forgery. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Who can see your screenshots

• Unlisted (default): anyone who has the link. Search engines are told not to index them.
• Public: anyone with the link, and search engines are allowed to index the page. Public screenshots are not listed or browsable anywhere on this site.
• Private: only you, while logged in.

There is no public gallery, feed or search: nobody can browse other people's screenshots. Links use long random IDs that cannot be guessed.

The site administrator can view any screenshot, including private ones, when that is needed to investigate a report, enforce the terms or comply with the law.

Who processes your data

The service runs on a rented server, and traffic passes through Cloudflare, which provides security and caching and processes IP addresses to do so. Public and unlisted images may be cached by Cloudflare for a short time after you delete them. Your data is not shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Screenshots: until you delete them, until they are removed automatically because your storage is full, or until your account is deleted.
• Account details: until your account is deleted.
• Contact messages: until they have been dealt with and are no longer needed.

Your rights

You can see and delete your screenshots at any time from your gallery. You can ask for a copy of your data, for a correction, or for your account and everything in it to be deleted, by sending a privacy request. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

The Windows app

The app captures only the region you select, only when you trigger it, and sends it only to this service. Your sign-in is stored on your computer, encrypted for your Windows account. The app collects no usage data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
